Andrea Salvi obtained his diplomas in Flute and Chamber music under the guidance of Leonardo Angeloni and Roberto Galletto at the Conservatory of music “Santa Cecilia” of Rome. He specialized in the Netherlands with Rien de Reede und Thies Roorda. He got, magna cum laude, his master degree at the Conservatory of music “Nicola Sala” of Benevento under the guidance of Giuseppe Pelura. Additionally he deepened his studies with numerous master classes in Flute (Mario Caroli, János Bálint), Chamber music (Giuliano Balestra, Bernard Fauchet, Adèle Auriol e Marialena Fernandes), “modern” languages and popular music (Daniel Binelli, Polly Ferman, Trio Bosion, Guinga, Gianni Iorio, Tato Finocchi e Alejandro Rodriguez, etc.).

Andrea Salvi is working actively in concert as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician (Tuscia Opera Festival Symphony Orchestra, Freon Ensemble, Metadiapason Ensemble, ecc.), with particular attention to contemporary music. His activities led him beyond the borders of Italy to countries like USA, Sri Lanka, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland and as well to national broadcasts for TV and radio.

He won awards at the following competitions of chamber music (“Dinu Lipatti” international competitions, “Anemos” international competition, “Ferdinando Carulli” national competitions”). He had the honor to perform in a private concert for H. H. Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican Radio. He has been teaching for years, in state secondary schools and in the municipal
School of music “Iseo Ilari” of Monte Porzio Catone (near Rome).
