Born in Padua, Valerio Fasoli studied at the Conservatorio di Padova with Clementine Hoogendoorn Scimone, at the Accademia Italiana del Flauto in Rome with Raymond Guiot, with Janos Balint and at the University of Music Trossingen with Arife Gulsen Tatu, and took part in masterclasses with Aurele Nicolet, Peter-Lukas Graf, Jean-Claude Gerard, Karl-Heinz Zoeller, Rien de Reede, Marzio Conti, Ramson Wilson.
He started very young his cooperation with “I Solisti Veneti di Claudio Scimone”, where he played as soloist and with soloists like Salvatore Accardo, Evgeny Kissin and Sir James Galway.
In 1997 he started playing as principal flute with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Savona, president Carlo Maria Giulini, conductor Filippo Maria Bressan.
In 1997/1998 he won prizes in National and International Competitions like the Emanuele Krakamp Flute National Competition and the Cittá di Racconigi International Chamber Music Competition.
2001 he started playing with the Ensemble PolyphonieT, conductor Manfred Schreier, with whom he studied as conductor too, and he started an intensive activity as soloist and chamber musician, in cooperation also with the Bach Academy Stuttgart. At the same time he started an important activity in contemporary music working with f.e. Marco Stroppa, Dieter Schnebel, Hans Zender and Sukhi Kang. Very interested in supporting young composers, for his performances are composed at least 5 new works every year.
After being flute teacher at the University of Music Trossingen (Germany) and since that he is regularly invited to workshops and master classes in universities worldwide, like the Seoul National University, the Istituto Nacional de l’Arte in Buenos Aires, and in contemporary music festivals like the Daegu Contemporary Music Festival.
His CD “Chamber Music for Flute and Violin”, recorded with the violinist Katharina von Harten for the German label Thorofon (Naxos Group), received in 2015 fantastic critics, among the other by the German music magazine “das Orchester”.
In the year 2010, he founded the Accademia di Musica di Taggia, of which he is artistic director.
In 2012 he set up the „EnsembleSolisten“ chamber orchestra, in Stuttgart (Germany) of which he is conductor and artistic director, and with whom he got a fantastic success already at the first concert.
Since 2014 Valerio Fasoli is Faculty Member in the Narnia Arts Academy, Narni, Italy.
In 2015 he set up the Pasquale Anfossi Institute, for the research, the edition and the performance of the works of composer of the 18th century.
Since 2016 he is president of the Wilhelm Bernhard Molique Gesellschaft Stuttgart (Germany).
